BELIZE The Ministry Of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, and the Belize Tourism Board has received financing from the Inter American Development Bank (IDB) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the project Sustainable Tourism Program (STP) to the Belize Fisheries Dept and Forestry Dept, for the contracting of 2 Reserve Rangers for the Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve (BCNPMR). The positions are funded by the Government of Belize with co-financing support through the STP to achieve the management goals of the BCNPMR. The Reserve Ranger will be responsible to the Fisheries Dept and Forestry Dept under the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment. Duties will include but are not limited to surveillance and enforcement of National Park and Fisheries regulations; maintenance of reserve facilities and equipment; assistance with research and monitoring projects and programs; liaison with users, visitors and all stakeholders; assistance with the development of interpretive and educational materials; participation in the STP activities within the reserve and any tasks and duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Reserve Manager or designee.
